The switch has occurred because Mainstay and its board decided it was in the best interest of shareholders to replace Icap with Epoch, according to a spokeswoman for the firm. Icap was also replaced by Epoch on the Mainstay VP Icap Select Equity portfolio, which is a variable annuity version of the Select Equity fund. At Epoch he will run the same fund withВ Booth andВ Welhoelter. He had run the international fund alongside Cole and Starr. Kirtley had previoulsy worked at Icap but joined Epoch in January. The Mainstay Icap International fund will be renamed the Mainstay Epoch International Choice fund.
